Where We Donate

Here is some information on the two schools in Cambodia that are currently receiving aid from Cambodian Threads.

Preah Takov Primary School; Prek  Bongkong VillageKandal Province:

A 300 student school located in the village where the scarves are being crafter.  The community is largely dependent on farming for their income, and often, schoolchildren’s pens and paper take a backseat to food and clothes.  Thus, we are working with the Heng Family to ensure that pens, pencils, paper, and notebooks are accessible to the community’s children, enabling them to pursue their education to its full potential.

Samareav Primary SchoolSamareav VillageTakeo Province:

Samarleav Village, located in a disadvantaged area in Takeo Province.  This farming village, still without electricity, is struggling to ensure its 1,000 plus primary aged students have necessary school materials.  Cambodian Threads is working with Chorn Leng, an educated Cambodian national who is currently on scholarship attending the esteemed Pannasastra University of Cambodia in Phnom Penh.  Chorn Leng is from Samareav Village and has devoted his life to helping his community develop its education system.  Cambodian Threads is committed to helping the primary school students in Chorn Leng’s village with pens, pencils, paper, notebooks and other basic neccesities.
